How to Place an Order.
Once you've selected your flooring, deciding how much you need can be a daunting task. Estimate too low and you're stopping to buy more material in the middle of the job.
A sample room measurement is used for the demonstration and may or may not reflect the choices that you will be making.
Before you begin, it is assumed that you already know what your measurements are. You will need to use the measurements for a guideline while figuring your square footage.
EXAMPLE:
10 ft 14 ft 7 ft 15 ft
AREA A is 10 ft x 14 ft = 140 sq. ft.
AREA B is 15 ft x 7 ft = 105 sq. ft.
So the total area of flooring required is 140 sq. ft. + 105 sq. ft. = 245 sq. ft. AREA is length x width
To work out how many boxes of flooring you then need, divide the total floor area by the number of Square Feet per box.
For Example: Shaw Melody comes in Boxes containing 23.37 sq.ft. So divide the total floor area you need by 23.37: 245 / 23.37 = 10.48 Boxes In order to complete your floor, you would require 11 boxes of flooring. Please note, however, that the flooring boxes vary in size depending on your choice of flooring. If you are having difficulty with any of the above calculations, please contact us, and we will be glad to help you.
